How we work together, and what it costs
Two ways in: a fixed-scope build with one price agreed up front, or a monthly retainer for enablement, ongoing development or an embedded team. The ranges below are where real engagements land. Your number comes from a thirty-minute scoping call.
One price, agreed before we start
For a specific system or product. Scoped first, built end to end, then handed over, with support after launch if you want it.
Prototype to production
A Lovable, Bolt, Claude or no-code prototype that works in a demo and needs to work for real users.
- Audit of what you built: keep what works, fix what will not survive real use
- Proper data, sign-in and access control underneath
- Evaluation and guardrails on anything the model decides
- Deployed to your own accounts, with a handover
First system or MVP
One workflow automated end to end, or a focused MVP with one clear job.
- Scoped in two working sessions, with one number to move
- Built on your tools: CRM, inbox, documents, accounting
- A person approves anything that leaves the business
- Runs alongside the manual process until it has earned trust
Product build
A product or platform built from the ground up: several workflows, user roles, integrations and AI at the core.
- Product strategy, UX and full-stack engineering in one team
- Delivered in phases, each with a working release
- Evaluation sets from your real cases before launch
- Documentation your own engineers can maintain
Ongoing work, billed monthly
For teams that want AI working across the business over time: the tools set up and used, new systems shipped, or a senior team in the room every week.
Enablement and adoption
Teams already paying for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot who want it set up properly and used every day.
- Workspace and projects per team, set up and maintained
- New tailored skills and connections to live data each month
- Working sessions by team and office hours
- A one-page policy kept current as the tools change
Ongoing AI development
A business with systems in production that wants new workflows added and existing ones kept sharp.
- New automations and agents shipped through the month
- Monitoring, fixes and model upgrades on what is live
- Evaluation runs on every change
- A monthly review of what moved and what is next
Embedded AI team
A product team or AI platform that needs senior product, design and AI engineering every week.
- A senior pod working in your stack, tickets and standups
- Roadmap, design and engineering in one team
- Weekly releases, with quality and evaluation built in
- Scales up or down as priorities change
What you get, whichever model you pick
You own it
The code, the accounts and the data are yours from day one, running in your own environment.
A person stays in charge
Anything uncertain or outward-facing goes to a person for approval, and every AI output shows where it came from.
Measured, not hoped for
One number agreed before the build, and evaluation sets from your real cases before anything reaches users.
Any model that fits
Claude by default for documents and agents, ChatGPT, Gemini or open-source models running locally where they fit better.
Handover your team can use
Documentation, a walkthrough and access for your own engineers, so nothing depends on us to keep running.
No lock-in
Start with one fixed-scope system. Move to a retainer only if the first one earns it.
From first call to a number you can plan around
A thirty-minute call
What you want to change, what you run on today, and which model fits. Free, no preparation needed.
A written scope
The workflow or product, what it connects to, the number it should move, the timeline and one price.
Build or start the retainer
Weekly check-ins with one owner on your side. You see working software early, not a slide deck.
Launch and decide
Hand over, keep us on a retainer, or come back for the next system. Your call.
Prices are in US dollars and are estimates, not quotes. Every engagement is scoped and priced in writing before work starts.
Questions about pricing
How much does an AI automation project cost?
Taking an existing prototype to production starts at $5,000. A first system or MVP that automates one workflow end to end is usually $12,000 to $20,000. A product built from the ground up runs $25,000 to $40,000 or more over two to four months. The final number comes from a short scoping call.
What do the monthly retainers cost?
Enablement and adoption is $3,000 to $4,000 a month, ongoing AI development is $5,000 to $7,000 a month, and an embedded AI team is $8,000 to $10,000 a month. Each is billed monthly and sized to how much you want shipped.
What changes the price of a build?
The number of systems it connects to, how clean the data is, compliance requirements, how many user roles there are, and how much of it has to work without a person in the loop. These are settled on the scoping call, before any work starts.
Can we start small?
Yes, and most clients do. A first system on one workflow proves the approach on your own data, then later work builds on the same foundation. Many teams move to a retainer once the first system is in daily use.
Who owns what you build?
You do. The code, the accounts and the data are yours, and everything runs in your own environment under agreements where your data is not used to train models.
