Linktank is a consumer-facing SaaS platform serving professionals in the public-policy ecosystem. Its goal is simple: make it easy to discover, track, and save the events, experts, and opportunities happening across the policy space.

The challenge was that this information lives across hundreds of unrelated websites: government agencies, think tanks, nonprofits, advocacy groups, and industry organizations, all with inconsistent formatting and no centralized listing.

The opportunity was to build a scalable platform that automatically finds this content, structures it using AI, and presents it in a clean, searchable interface for users.

An AI ingestion engine behind a clean consumer product

AI-powered scraping & structuring: events, experts & jobs

We built a scalable scraping engine that continuously monitors hundreds of websites and ingests three content types: policy events, expert profiles, and job postings. Instead of relying on rigid scraping rules alone, we layered AI extraction to identify the relevant details within semi-structured content, extract key fields (for events: title, date, time, organization, location, description, registration link; for experts: name, title, affiliation, focus areas, bio; for jobs: role, employer, location, type, description, apply link), normalize inconsistent formatting, deduplicate overlapping listings, and tag and categorize everything intelligently.

AI lets the system adapt to different page layouts and maintain high extraction accuracy at scale, across all three content types.

Centralized database & admin CMS

We designed a structured backend database that stores all extracted events, experts, and jobs in normalized fields. The admin interface enables manual logging, editing AI-extracted fields, reviewing and approving submissions, managing duplicates, and moderating user-submitted content, ensuring data quality while maintaining automation efficiency.

Consumer-facing SaaS platform

On the front end, we built a clean, searchable discovery experience where users can browse and filter events, experts, and jobs by topic, date, organization, or location; save items to their profile; log in and manage preferences; and submit listings for review. The platform includes authentication, subscription management, and tiered access through Stripe integration.

AI-enhanced categorization & search

AI is also used for automatic topic tagging, entity recognition (organizations, speakers, experts), content summarization, improving search relevance, and smart filtering suggestions, transforming raw web pages into structured, discoverable content tailored for end users.

Live monitors: track ongoing situations in real time

Beyond discrete listings, we built live monitors: AI agents that continuously scrape news across hundreds of sources to track evolving situations: geopolitical crises, policy developments, regulatory shifts. Each monitor auto-classifies incoming articles, summarizes the state of play, and surfaces what changed since the last update, giving users a single live view instead of a hundred browser tabs.
