Interactive demo: Portfolio Reporting Console

Monthly numbers in, board pack and investor letter out

A working prototype of a portfolio reporting console for a lower middle market fund. Each company's numbers arrive through one channel, get checked, chased and posted into one consolidated model, and the commentary for the board pack and the quarterly letter is drafted from that model. What reaches the operating partner is the submission that failed a check, the company that is late, and a draft to edit.

Granite Hill Partners, September 2026: five companies posted, one waiting on a corrected trial balance, one late after an ERP cutover.

What you will see

Six things the demo does end to end

The consolidated view

Revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash and net debt per company against budget and against the prior month, with a sparkline each, a submission status, and a total that counts only what has been posted.

Variance flags with a reason

Anything outside the thresholds gets a flag and a one-line explanation drafted from the company's submission notes. Hover for the reason, click for the detail and the source.

The reporting cycle

What arrived from each company, the three checks the agent ran on it, the reminders and chases it sent, and the finance contact's replies. One submission fails its bank balance check and waits for you.

Accept or query

Nothing posts to the model on its own. Accept a submission and the portfolio view, the board pack and the letter update; query it and a drafted message goes to the finance contact after you edit it.

The board pack

Six pages that refresh from the model, with commentary drafted paragraph by paragraph. Each paragraph carries a chip for the submission notes, the model or the prior pack, and can be edited in place or regenerated.

The investor letter

A quarterly letter assembled from the consolidated model with the placeholders filled and a reviewer before it goes anywhere. A toggle switches the vocabulary for a family office without changing the data.

Try it

Three steps, five minutes

01

Take the tour

Fifteen stops. It walks from the consolidated view into the cycle, accepts a late submission and shows the view update, then opens a company page, the board pack and the letter.

02

Open the reporting cycle

BrightPath failed its bank balance check. Read the checks and the thread, then query the controller or accept with a note. Harbor Foods is late; draft the reminder.

03

Edit the board pack

Open Meridian Staffing's pack, click a paragraph to edit it, click its chip to read the source, then regenerate the section. Switch to Family office in the top bar and read the letter again.

For your fund

We build it custom for your fund

The demo runs on sample data. A real build connects to your own tools and is fitted to how you already work.

Your companies' systems and your channel

Submissions collected from the channel your finance contacts already use, whether email, a portal or a shared drive, and read from the trial balance and KPI formats each company actually produces.

Your model and your thresholds

Posted into the consolidated model you report from, with your chart of accounts mapping, your variance thresholds and your board pack and letter templates.

Tested on last quarter

Run on a quarter you already reported, compared line by line with what the team produced and with the packs that went to the boards, and tuned until it matches.

A person accepts every number

The agent checks, chases and drafts. An operating partner accepts each submission and edits each draft. Nothing is posted or sent by the system, and every sentence names its source.
